We contributed towards the establishment of the School in 1966 and as Trustee and Voluntary Aiding Body we own the freehold and continue to provide significant financial support to the school.

The School was rated Outstanding by OFSTED in 2015. Additionally, in 2018, it was awarded Outstanding in its inspection of its effectiveness as a Church School (SIAMS). It operates with high standards of behaviour and aims to produce confident, talented, independent learners with the highest aspirations for achievement.

Grants and support

We support the school and its students through grants, bursaries and in the form of rent-free accommodation. Like our Primary School, each year Stepney All Saints receives an annual ‘Benefits’ grant based on the number of pupils enrolled, which goes towards a uniform subsidy scheme, membership of the London Diocesan Board for Schools Maintenance Scheme and more. In 2020 we also contributed towards the School’s rebranding costs including new uniforms for pupils.

Each year we provide monetary prizes for high achieving pupils each year, including bursaries for the top two students leaving sixth form. Since 2015 we have supported students from Stepney All Saints to participate in a unique mentoring programme with The Business School.

Grants have also enabled pupils at the school to visit the Brecon Beacons and take advantage of the benefits of outdoor learning.

Covid-19 support

In 2020 we awarded £175,000 in grants to our two schools to meet the cost laptops and data during the pandemic. It was vital to ensure all pupils’ were able to access high quality learning and resources during lockdown to ensure that the gains made over recent years in closing the attainment gap for disadvantaged students were not reversed.

We at Stepney All Saints Secondary School have been committed to providing laptops for students during the pandemic as a support aid for all our students. The generous support from the Portal Trust will allow us to continue to deliver quality-first teaching to all our students and maximise their learning and achievement
