We want you to feel supported during your grant period. If you have any questions, your Grants Officer is your first point of contact, or you can visit the Contact Us page. We’re here to help you make the most of your grant.
Reporting requirements
As a condition of our grants, we require monitoring and evaluation reports for each year of your grant. For multi-year grants, the release of subsequent payments is contingent on receipt of a satisfactory report.
Reports help us to understand how the work we have funded is progressing and how it contributes to the changes we want to see. We provide online templates for completion and welcome additional supporting information where relevant.
Reporting is based on the outcomes agreed at application and focuses on progress towards them. Your report should reference the agreed-upon indicators and milestones and explain how the funded work is progressing.
Once funding is agreed, organisations are expected to submit interim and final reports. Progress reports usually align with the academic year, but we can be flexible depending on your project and end date. We will issue the relevant reporting form around three weeks before a report is due.
If you have any questions or need support with reporting, the Grants Team is happy to help.
Downloading a reporting form
We know that reporting can sometimes feel a little daunting, particularly when you’re gathering information from across your team. If it would be helpful to share the form internally, you can download a paper copy at any time. Simply log into your account, click “download,” and you’ll be able to access a PDF version of the form to circulate, review, or work on offline before submitting.
Payments
We can usually arrange your first payment quite quickly once you’ve confirmed acceptance of our terms and conditions. For multi-year grants, any subsequent payments will normally be scheduled in line with your reporting timetable, so that funding continues alongside updates on your progress.
Key contacts and support information
If you have any questions or would like to talk something through, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. In the first instance, we recommend contacting your Grant Officer, who will be familiar with your grant and happy to help. Alternatively, you’re welcome to call us on 0207 480 5884 and a member of the team will assist or point you in the right direction.
You can also find further ways to reach us via our Contact Us page where you’ll find up-to-date details and options for getting in touch.
Feedback
We want to ensure your experience with us is positive. We are always happy to hear how to make our funding process simpler and smoother.
If you’ve received a grant and have a suggestion, please use the monitoring and evaluation form or contact the Grants Manager.
Safeguarding information
We take our safeguarding responsibilities seriously, and we expect our grantee organisations to do the same. We include the following mandatory requirements from our grant applicants to ensure that safeguarding is prioritised:
- Evidence of a Safeguarding Policy, showing that it is reviewed regularly and complies with guidance published by the NSPCC and/or other relevant bodies, such as the Department for Education in the case of schools and colleges.
- In the case of organisations working directly with children or at-risk adults, evidence that there is a designated safeguarding lead who understands their role.
- Evidence that a clear procedure is in place for reporting and responding to safeguarding incidents.
- Evidence that staff and volunteers receive appropriate safeguarding training and that the organisation understands which roles require basic and enhanced DBS checks, and that these are in place.
- Disclosure of any safeguarding failures in the last 5 years and evidence that proportionate actions have been taken in response.
Our staff and board members are required to complete mandatory safeguarding training to ensure our standards are consistently met and upheld.
Communications Support
We’re proud to fund the wonderful work of our grantees and we know how important it is for you to share your impact. We aim to support you in this by providing tools and resources to help you effectively communicate your work and our partnership.
Acknowledging our Funding
We’d love it if you could highlight our support in your communications about the work we support. Publicly acknowledging our funding not only celebrates our partnership but also helps signpost these resources to similar groups in the sector.
Using our logo
We ask that you use our logo in communications about projects we are directly funding. It’s a helpful way to inform others about the projects we support.
For more information on using our logo, download our Beneficiary Logo Toolkit.

Networking
Beyond funding, we’re committed to creating spaces where partners can learn from experts and one another.
Every Autumn, we host our Annual Education Lecture featuring leading voices in the education and charity sectors, and all grantee organisations are invited to attend. It’s a great opportunity to gain insights from educational experts and connect with peer organisations working towards similar goals.
Make sure you’re signed up to our newsletter to hear about other events and opportunities throughout the year.
Welcome Packs
Within a few weeks of your funding agreement being finalised, we’ll send out a welcome pack in the post with a few goodies and an introduction from our Communications Officer. If you haven’t received yours within a month, please do get in touch.
Promoting your work
It’s important to us that the great work of our grantees is being heard about. If you have news, updates or content you’d like us to share with our audience, do get in touch.
We also love to share case studies that highlight the diverse projects we support. These stories help to illustrate our funding priorities while celebrating the achievements of the projects we fund. If you feel your project would make a good feature, or you have a beneficiary that wants to share their story, we’d love to hear from you.
