Last week, our Chairman, Chief Executive and Governors visited the Argoed Lwyd Outdoor Education Centre in Brecon Beacons National Park (South Wales).
Owned and managed by Hampshire County Council, Argoed Lwyd delivers a wide range of challenging and exciting outdoor activities for young people to ‘help promote self-learning and give students the opportunity to acquire new skills for life.’
These activities include mountain walking, canoeing, gorge scrambling and camping – all helping students to improve their self-confidence, resilience and team-working skills.
Whilst on their visit last week, our governors were able to see pupils from The Aldgate School undertaking some of these exciting outdoor pursuits, including canoeing along the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal.
We are very proud to have supported Argoed Lwyd in providing outdoor learning opportunities for young people in London since 2011. We greatly enjoying visiting the Centre last week and loved seeing pupils learning new skills while tackling fun new challenges. Thank you Argoed Lwyd for having us!
