We’re excited to present the outcomes of a knowledge exchange programme led by University College London’s Faculty of Education and Society, Institute of Education.

This study explores how researchers, practitioners, and local authorities can work together to create more education, employment, and training opportunities for care leavers.

Care experienced young people have some of the lowest levels of education and employment outcomes as they often have additional challenges to overcome.

Through the programme, pro-active steps have already been taken to improve access to further education and promote greater employability skills.

We hope this report contributes to the creation of more targeted educational opportunities so care leavers can access the support they need.
