Over the past financial year, we’ve awarded over £200,000 directly to our two schools, with an additional £50,000 awarded to partner organisations to enhance educational opportunities for every student. Our commitment to The Aldgate School and Stepney All Saints Secondary School underscores our dedication to creating educational opportunities for young people.

The Aldgate School

The Aldgate School is the only state-maintained primary school in the City of London and was rated Outstanding by Ofsted in 2024. We’ve proudly supported the school since 1748, working to provide a wide range of educational opportunities. From funding essential initiatives to supporting innovative programmes, we aim to create a nurturing and enriching environment for all students.

This year, the school received an annual grant of approximately £170 per student. This funding supports various initiatives, including uniform subsidies and a renowned music programme where students can learn instruments and join a talented choir. Additionally, we provide hardship grants and fund an Emotional Literacy Support Assistant who helps students navigate social and emotional challenges.

Stepney All Saints Secondary School

Stepney All Saints Secondary School, rated Outstanding by Ofsted in 2021, benefits from similar support. This year, the secondary school received around £160 per student, which helped to fund uniform subsidies and maintenance costs. We’ve also funded visits to Argoed Lwyd Outdoor Education Centre in South Wales to give students have the opportunity to take on new challenges.

Our annual funding also includes monetary prizes for high-achieving pupils. Since 2015, we have also supported a near-peer mentoring programme with Bayes Business School to increase students access to higher education. Further to this, our grants have helped to fund a new minibus and A Level Online Courses to broaden the curriculum and increase learning opportunities.

Our support for The Aldgate School and Stepney All Saints Secondary School reflects our commitment to empowering students and fostering a supportive learning environment. By investing in our schools, we aim to ensure that every pupil has the opportunity to succeed and reach their full potential.
