The Night The Day Was Broken
Ministry of Stories is a charity based in Hoxton that focuses on empowering young people through creative writing and storytelling, aiming to foster creativity and literacy skills in children and young adults, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
The charity runs writing workshops, mentoring programmes, and publishes the works of young writers while providing a safe and supportive space where young individuals can explore their imagination, express themselves, and develop valuable communication skills.
In 2021 The Portal Trust provided a grant of £15,000 towards the Space to Be programme, an element of which included creating the world’s first ever escape room designed entirely by young people. With the project now complete, the short video below explains the programme and the creative process.
